N'SPINE Monitoring, Inc is based in San Diego, CA, & is a Veteran and Female owned boutique Intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) company.


We provide surgery specific coverage of any case involving at risk neural structures. This means that each clinician is assigned to cases in which they have extensive knowledge and specialization.

Due to our unique skill set and specializations N'SPINE Monitoring works in both the university setting and level 1 trauma centers throughout Southern California.

N'SPINE Monitoring is performing a higher level of monitoring of complex surgeries in contrast to other companies. We are on the frontline of new and advanced methods, procedures and treatments.  N'SPINE Monitoring performs modalities ranging from the basic SEPs, MEPs and EMGs to the advanced Awake Craniotomies and DBS cases.

Jeffrey Steinberg MD

Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg, MD is a neurosurgeon who specializes in vascular diseases of the nervous system. He treats aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVM), dural arteriovenous fistulas (dural AVF), stroke, moyamoya disease, intracranial hemorrhage, carotid disease, cavernous malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, in addition to brain tumors such as meningiomas.

Dr. Steinberg completed specialized training in both open and endovascular neurosurgery allowing him to offer patients comprehensive treatment options. This includes traditional open neurosurgical procedures such as aneurysm clipping in addition to minimally invasive endovascular procedures such as aneurysm coiling. He also specializes in cerebral bypass procedures, which are complex surgeries that provide more blood flow to the brain for various diseases. He believes in treating every patient as he would his own family member.

Alex Khalessi MD, MBA

A board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in cranial and endovascular surgery. He is a chair of the Department of Neurosurgery and professor of Surgery, Radiology and Neurosciences. He is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS), American Heart Association Stroke Council (FAHA), and senior member of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS).

Joseph Osorio MD

A neurosurgeon who specializes in complex spine surgery. He treats spinal conditions such as scoliosis, kyphosis, kyphoscoliosis and flatback syndrome. He also treats spinal tumors, cervical spinal problems, and degenerative conditions of the spine such as spondylolisthesis and stenosis.

Because Dr. Osorio received both neurosurgical and orthopedic spine surgery training, he can assess spine conditions from an interdisciplinary perspective and recommend the most appropriate treatment for each patient. With individual patient goals in mind, if surgery is necessary, he will perform spine surgery utilizing the safest possible techniques tailored for each person.

Michael Hartman, MD is a board certified Orthopedic Spine Surgery Specialist in Goshen, IN and has over 26 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Indiana University School Of Medicine medical school in 1994. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as Goshen Health Hospital and Elkhart General Hospital.

Dr. Harris joined Premier Bone & Joint Centers in 2017. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, Dr. Harris received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, in Bethesda, MD. He then went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. After his residency, Dr. Harris underwent a fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

After 29 years of service in the Navy, Dr. Harris decided move closer to family and join the fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons at Premier Bone and Joint Centers. Throughout Dr. Harris’ 29 years with the Navy, he gave extensive service, including two deployments. Outside of providing exceptional care for patients, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. He also looks forward to any time spent with his wife and kids.
